thesis 3.5 or 4

March 29, 2012

I am currently working on a topic of “flow within comics”. This is the investigation of how “comics” are put together based on the frames of each panel, the way the texts are placed on the page, the colors that are represented, figures of content, Gestures, gutter spaces between each frame, overlapping frames , no frames, the arrangement and re-arrangement of content and much more. Most and for all, in connection with basic graphic design and typographical concepts with this topic, I am also analyzing and creating a “new composition of flow within within a comic page, this would allow the reader to follow a certain pattern or way of view that changes from layout to layout. For example layout 1: simple traditional way of reading a comic. Layout 2: subtle changes within the layout, from simplicity-semi complex. Layout 3: very complex.

This would be the investigation of how comics are put together based on their frames of drawings, the way the texts are placed, the colors, figures, Gestures, gutter spaces, no space, no frames, arrangement of content and much more. Most and for all, in connection with basic graphic design and typographical concepts with this topic, I would like to analyze and create a new composition of flow within comics that allows the reader to follow a certain pattern or way of view that is easier to follow than the present. I also would like to explore and possibly input my interests in China as of topics into the project as well.
